Deep-fried tofu with simple dashi-based sauce

The tofu dish popular in Japanese bar (IZAKAYA) can also be easily eaten and enjoyed at home. The key to this dish is to drain the tofu thoroughly and fry carefully for a long time.

Ingredients(for four persons)

4 Imuraya Umashi tofu LONG SHELF LIFE 180

1/2 Green onion

Pinch of Finely chopped ginger

Wheat flour (to taste)

Cooking oil (to taste)

Ingredients (A)

1 and 1/2 teaspoon Soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon Granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon Bonito Soup Stock

Pinch of Salt

100ml Water

Preparation

Tofu : Remove the Umashi tofu from the cup and to drain on a paper towel for about 5 Minutes.

Green onions : Cut into small pieces.

Directions

1.Mix Ingredients (A) in a pan and bring to a boil over medium heat.

2.Coat Umashi tofu with a thin layer of wheat flour, and deep-fry in oil at 180°C for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then drain off the oil.
